Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun in Restoran Goodwill. ' Like father, like son.'

Ever since I moved to KL some years back, I have been on the look-out for interesting places to eat in the Klang Valley. Yes, there are lots of places where you can get good food especially good hawker food. However, I sometimes miss having the good old Ipoh hawker food. Recently, I came upon real Ipoh food especially this one from Puchong.
Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun (Kai See Hor Fun) may be sold everywhere in the Klang Valley but this particular stall in Puchong is THE original chicken hor fun.  This stall is operated by Chee Heng, the son of the guy operating the stall in Restoran Thean Chun, Leech Street, Ipoh which is beside Kong Heng.  I have known Chee Heng's dad ever since he was a very young boy helping in the Chicken Hor Fun stall ar the once famous Ice Kachang stall of Cown Street, Ipoh. He later moved the business to Leech Street where he has been operating there with a younger son.
I took a drive to Puchong in search of the stall which is located in Restoran Goodwill along Jalan Kenari. Parking is relatively easy especially in the early morning before the crowd arrives. Chee Heng serves the chicken hor fun exactly the same as his dad's version with the prawn oil.

His father Ah Seng is an old friend and he serves the best chicken hor fun.

Well, as I said 'Like Father, Like Son' serving delicious Chicken Hor Fun.  My verdict - The son's chicken hor fun is equally as good as his dad's version.  So now I won't need to head to Ipoh to have this.
