Canning Garden Chee Cheong Fun in PJ

There are many Ipohites who have moved over to KL or PJ over a period of time. I too have moved to KL a few years ago after having retired. Many of us Ipohites are familiar and were regular customers of the famous Chee Cheong Fun stall sold at night next to the Canning Garden football field (Jaycee Park). There would be lots of cars parked beside the field and people tucking in to their favourite chee cheong fun. My brother in law from KL would visit this stall and gobble down a few plates of it whenever he was back in Ipoh. That stall has since been closed while the other stalls, operated by the younger brothers, opened up at a couple of places in Ipoh.  This particular stall that I am writing about is managed by the youngest brother and his wife in SS2 P. Jaya.
They operate their stall out of their van at the SS.2 wet market in the morning and also at the SS.2 food court at night. When I went to their stall, we had a long chat about their original stall in Canning Garden.  Most of their chee cheong fun is pre-packed but you can also eat at the stall al-fresco.

I bought the pre-packed chee cheong
fun with mushroom gravy to eat at home.

I really enjoyed the chee cheong fun for lunch and it had that original taste of the famous Canning Garden Chee Cheong Fun.  Now. Ipohites don't have to head back to Ipoh to have this as they can get it here in PJ or right at your doorstep for some.
