The weekend came by and being Merdeka day, my wife and I, together with my nephew and friend took a short drive to Ampang via the DUKE highway taking only about 15 minutes. We wanted to have lunch at Restoran Soo Kee as we noticed some customers the other day having noodles which looked very tempting.
The restaurant was packed when we arrived but were lucky that we didn't have to wait long for a vacant table.
We ordered Ngow Yoke Hor (Beef with flat noodles), Fried Rice, and another two plates of Sang Meen, one with fresh water prawns and the other with mixed ingredients. Of course, we couldn't do without the roasted pork which looked so tempting.
The Ngow Yoke Hor (Flat Noodles
cooked with beef. The beef was very
tender and went well with the flat noodles.
The Fried Rice which was fluffy
and well fried. Loved it.
The Sang Har Meen (Crispy noodles
with fresh water prawns). I think this was
the star of the show.
Crispy Roasted Pork.
Lovely.
It was a wonderful lunch having these noodles. After lunch, we decided to do some walking and headed over to the grocers just behind the row of shops to do a bit of shopping.
